When we were in N.H. in about 73, Tammy wanted a horse. At That time we had sheep, pigs milk cow, chickens and rabbits. We basically were living off the land. not being able to afford a horse we put and add in the market bulletin stating her wishes( young girl wants a free horse, will be given a good home) Much to our amazement that is what she got. A horse named Freckles. We all rode him . He was a very gentle creature.Tammy took good care of him, getting up early to clean the stall and feed him. Kim is on the horse in the picture.

I loved riding Freckles. We had so much fun back then when we where poor and lived off the land!
